Sigur Rós’ New Music Video: Ég Anda

Above is a brand new music video from Icelandic post-rock band, Sigur Rós. Track titled Ég Anda, taken from forthcoming album Valtari. The music video is part of a film project titled The Valtari Mystery Film Experiment. They provide a dozen film makers the same modest budget and asked them to create whatever comes into their head when they listen to Valtari, Sigur Rós’ forthcoming album. “The idea is to bypass the usual artistic approval process and allow people utmost creative freedom” they said. Among the list of filmmakers are Ramin Bahrani, Alma Har’el and John Cameron Mitchell. This one’s from Ragnar Kjartansson, Icelandic filmmaker that had been represent his country at the 2009 Venice Biennale.
